The Turf Club Referral Committee will meet on April 2 to investigate new evidence into the running and riding of Foxrock at Punchestown back in December.

An enquiry was held by the stewards on the day after the Ted Walsh-trained Foxrock finished a staying on third behind Grand Jesture in the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Handicap Chase on December 7.

Evidence was heard from both Walsh and rider Adrian Heskin, and the Turf Club veterinary officer who stated that Foxrock had pulled off both his front shoes in running and was slightly lame post-race.

However it is understood that new video evidence is now available showing that the Barry Connell-owned gelding was wearing both front shoes immediately after the race.

Walsh has told the Irish Times, "Obviously they're not happy with whatever happened on that day and they're reopening the enquiry. I'll be there at the enquiry to answer any questions they want."

Foxrock subsequently landed the €100,000 Boylesports Handicap Chase at Leopardstown, and also filled the runner-up spot behind Carlingford Lough in the Grade One Hennessy Gold Cup at the same venue.
