Two Irish Wins In Adelaide

Irish jockeys Niki O´Shea and Brian Byrnes were the stars of Irish Raceday at Morphettville, Adelaide, earlier today. Kerry born O´Shea took the chase on South Australian 'Horse of the Year' Clearview Bay, beating Byrnes on Awesome Weather to make it an Irish 1,2. Niall Madden and KevinColeman finished fifth and sixth on outsiders.

Byrnes then followed up by taking the hurdle on favourite Brief Eruption, winning by over six lengths from local rider Tom Logan with Japanese rider Kosuke Kawakami in third place. Kevin Coleman earned points on fifth placed Wittow´s Creek but Niall Madden and Niki O´Shea were both out of the numbers.

Those two wins leave the visitors well in front on points, 38 to 22, in the Irish ? Australian Jump Jockeys Series which continues in Werribee, Sandown and Moonee Valley next week.
