Two Irish winners at Perth

Perth once again proved a happy hunting ground for a strong Irish challenge this afternoon, with the Colin McBratney-trained Dumitas and Gordon Elliott's Manger Hanagment both successful.

Dumitas (7/2) was an effortless winner of the 2m novice hurdle under Paul Carberry, who teamed up with Elliott for a double here yesterday.

The seven-year-old gelding was eased down but still had seven lengths to spare over Mr Tallyman, with Elliott's Sound Of Thunder (6/5fav) a disappointing fifth.

The Co Meath handler had better fortune later in the day when Manger Hanagment justified 5/4 favouritism in the 2m4f handicap hurdle.

Keith Donoghue sent the six-year-old gelding on before two out for a four length verdict over Castletown Boy.

The frustrating Wikaala (1/1fav) found little under pressure when last of the four finishers in the 2m selling hurdle, while another Elliott runner Traffic Article had to settle for the runner-up spot behind impressive eight length winner Bold Perk (11/8fav) in the 3m handicap hurdle.
