Two Jessicas combine to win Curragh finale Suspicious Mindz (11/1) bounced back to form under 7lb apprentice jockey Jessica O’Gorman today, making all the running to win the Curragh’s concluding 20-runner Jo Browne Luxury Skincare Irish EBF Maiden for trainer Jessica Harrington. Placed third at Listed level last August behind recent Royal Ascot winner Thesecretadversary, the three-year-old gelding had also frustrated but today made the running and held on to score by an all-out head from Starborn Legend . Regarding the Marcstown Farms-owned winner, Kate Harrington revealed “he is a lovely horse and we’ve always thought an awful lot of him, but he's just been a bit of a monkey. We were so disappointed after his last run, so it was Jamie McCalmont's idea to see if a girl’s touch might help. We said it to Shane (Foley, stable jockey), so he suggested to get Jessica to ride. “It's great to get that win as he has a nice mark (82) and was only just beaten by Fozzy's horse (Jersey Stakes winner Thesecretadversary) last year. He's always shown an awful lot and every time he's gotten that good quick ground, he has run really, really well.” Quotes from John O’Riordan
