Soft-ground specialist Two Stars (85/40f) made a winning seasonal reappearance at the Curragh today, landing the Tote Never Beaten By SP Handicap for trainer Fozzy Stack and jockey Joey Sheridan.

The five-year-old had previously won over today’s course-and-distance last November and today made virtually all the running to score easily from Betsen

Stack commented “he’s improving with age, he’s just one of those late maturing sprinters that is filling into himself the whole time. He’s a big striding horse and you don’t need to get into a row with him. He ran well in Doncaster last year but you won’t see him running over six furlongs again.

“He likes that ground, will probably have to go up in class now and could go for one of those races at Naas, either side of the Punchestown festival.”
