On her third start, Yellowstone Lake (6/5 fav) got off the mark in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Dundalk and provided jockey Billy Lee with his 1,000th career winner.

Paddy Twomey 's juvenile, owned by the Zinlo Syndicate, was second on debut at Leopardstown before finishing fourth to subsequent Listed winner Diamond Necklace at the Curragh.

She raced close to the pace and led two furlongs out before being ridden out to hold Emmeleia by half a length.

Lee commented: "It has been a while, it took long enough. I was kind of counting the days since coming back, it was a little goal. I was only counting the Flat ones, but they added in the few National Hunt winners I rode.

"It was a nice milestone to get and, I'm not saying there is1,000 more, but hopefully I'll ride plenty more winners. It is just nice to get the 1,000."

On Yellowstone Lake, he added: "Well franked (last run) and she just took a little while between races, Paddy gave her a little chance.

"She has come forward. She has done it well there and I thought she did it within herself. She is just a better filly probably coming at something rather than making the running, so hopefully there is more improvement."

When asked if that would be her for the season, he replied:"If Paddy thought there was a right race, and the ground was suitable, he would go again."
