Tyner hoping MCR Hurdle can be salvaged

Robert Tyner does not want to see the weather deny Spring The Que an opportunity to win a second MCR Hurdle.

Sunday's big Leopardstown handicap, formerly known as the Pierse, was abandoned on Thursday lunchtime due to snow and frost and the Dublin track have not yet made contingency plans.

Spring The Que won the race in 2007 as a 16-1 shot and was later sent chasing, but had not tasted victory again until his most recent run, a handicap hurdle at Cork in mid-December.

Tyner said: "He's in good form, all of a sudden, and hopefully they should reschedule the race somewhere."
