Tyner lands another valuable sales bumper with I'm Slippy Having landed some valuable sales bumpers over the years, Cork trainer Robert Tyner was at it again as debutant I'm Slippy kept on best to claim the concluding Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper at Fairyhouse. A half-brother to a maiden hurdle winner, out of a winning dam, the four-year-old knew his job despite showing obvious signs of greenness. Early Dawning came through to lead under Tom Costello over two-furlongs out but was soon headed by Look Me. The latter pressed on up the inner rail over a furlong out but the move was covered by Josh Williamson on the eventual winner. Getting to the lead deep inside the final furlong, the 9/1 chance prevailed by half-a-length close home. Robert Tyner said: “He’s never disappointed me since I put my hand on him. He’s a tall, athletic horse. “I was concerned was he too nice to be a real good horse. He’s had a beautiful temperament from the word go. “Josh gave him a nice ride. “He’ll have a holiday now and he jumps well. “He’s called after a very good greyhound that the owner had.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee.
