UK-syndicate makes winning trip to Tipp' Trainer Paddy Twomey and well-known UK syndicate The Rogues Gallery have big-race plans to finalise with Rogue Legend (4/5f), as the grey was an easy winner of Tipperary’s Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race today. The colt son of Havana Grey had finished second and won from two prior Cork May-maiden runs and today scored easily under Billy Lee, when beating Howd’yadoit by 3.25 lengths. Twomey quipped “the trainer hadn’t planned it out very well as he carried 9st8lb the first day, 9st9lb the second day and was even worse today with 9st12lb. To be fair to the horse, he keeps responding. “He has no choice now but to step up to Stakes class so I’ll chat with the lads: ideally he would go for the Listed race over five furlongs back here in July but they might want to go to (Royal) Ascot. There are 27 of them here, so they’ll all have opinions! “It is a very enthusiastic syndicate so it’s nice to have a horse like that for them. We discussed last year about having a horse, I bought this horse and he is learning on the job. He was very green the first day, I was happy the last day and he has been uncomplicated in the days since.” Rogue Legend carries the newly created Irish-based silks of the ‘Rogues Gallery Partnership’, with UK runners competing under the ‘The Rogues Gallery’ banner.
