Fourth at Limerick over Christmas on what was her first start in over a year, Ufouria showed the benefit of that outing when running out a decisive winner of the mares' bumper at Cork.

The Paul Nolan-trained seven-year-old raced in mid-division before improving to lead over two furlongs out from where she stayed on well to beat market leader Lau And Shaz by six lengths.

Rider Conor Smithers said: "We always thought a lot of her, she is a nice mare and she finished second behind a very decent mare on her first run in Limerick, when I rode her.

"She had a setback which was niggly and wasn't anything major but was off for a while. Her run back, in Limerick, was good and she got tired in the final furlong-and-a-half so we always knew she'd improve from it.

"What you saw today was what we thought of her and we think she will be a nice mare in the future."
