Uluru made an impressive start to her career in giving weight to the field in the opening juvenile fillies' maiden in Gowran Park.
Colin Keane was booked for Kevin Coleman's Zoffany filly who raced towards the rear in this seven-furlong assignment, off a hard pace, before taking closer order approaching the home bend.
Keane switched her out to close in the final quarter of a mile and she was ridden to the front a furlong out. She stretched right away in the final 100 yards to sweep home by four and three-quarter lengths at 11/1. Glamora (7/1) finished best of the rest and was two-and-a-half-lengths clear of Basilah Bear (5/1).
Trainer Kevin Coleman said: “She's the pick of the bunch this year. We wanted to start her off - we thought she wanted good ground, but when you have the first of the ground it's never too bad.
“We had the right man on board. Seamie (Heffernan) has done all the work on her and he loved her. He's been good to us and it's a pity he couldn't ride her but he'll be on her the next day, I hope. We had a good replacement.
“Seven is her minimum. I'd imagine she'll probably be sold, I'd imagine there will be a few phone calls anyway. We're here to sell them.
“She wasn't wound up for today and I think she's a nice filly going forward.”
