The recent unsettled spell of weather, which caused two flat races to be abandoned at Roscommon yesterday evening due to slippery conditions, looks set to effect upcoming fixtures this week.

Roscommon hosts an all National Hunt meeting this evening with the first on an eight-race card getting underway at 5.30pm, and the ground is currently good to yielding (at 12.35pm).

In excess of 10mm of rain has fallen overnight and this morning, and further showers are expected today.

The action returns to the flat at Leopardstown on Thursday evening, and the south Co. Dublin track is currently soft following a further 7mm of rain overnight.

Down Royal's two-day meeting featuring the Ulster Derby commences on Friday, and the flat track is currently good, good to firm in places.

Gowran Park hosts a two-day weekend meeting this Saturday and Sunday, and the going at present is described as yielding (flat) and good (National Hunt).
