Unsung Heroine Ready For St Leger Fozzy Stack is hoping a break will have improved St Leger hope Unsung Heroine. Fozzy, son and assistant to his father Tommy, is looking ahead to a bid for Classic glory with the filly at Doncaster on Saturday. And he said: "Having a runner in the Ladbrokes St Leger will make a change from going to Ballinrobe! "This filly has tried to kill herself twice. We thought she was a good filly around this time last year but she was still growing, so we decided to leave her alone until the spring. She was having a pick of grass in the paddock in the spring and managed to injure herself, which meant she finished up spending two weeks in the veterinary clinic. "It was a bit of a rush to get her ready for the summer and she gave us a bit of fright when she won first time out at Fairyhouse. She then won her Group Three at Cork and the form of that win has worked out well. "When she runs on Saturday, it will be the first time she has actually had a bit of a break between her races. She needs to improve, but at least has had the time to do so." Stack jr says no decision has yet been taken on who will ride the unbeaten filly at Town Moor. "Riding plans are fluid at the moment. Her usual rider Wayne Lordan is appealing against a suspension, so Jamie Spencer could maybe ride her instead while Frankie Dettori is another option She is a straightforward filly to ride."
