Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek is considering a trip to Deauville for her brilliant French Oaks heroine Treve.

The daughter of Motivator kept her unbeaten record intact with a devastating display in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly in mid-June, form which was boosted significantly after the runner-up, Alain de Royer-Dupre's Chicquita, claimed Saturday's Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

The pair look likely to cross swords again in the Prix Vermeille at Longchamp on September 15, but Treve could turn out beforehand in the Prix de la Nonette at Deauville on August 20.

The three-year-old was snapped up by leading owner Sheikh Joaan Al Thani after her French Oaks triumph and is likely to be ridden by retained rider Frankie Dettori in her future races, with the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October her major aim.

Head-Maarek said: "Treve is fine, she looks beautiful and of course, it was nice to see the filly win in Ireland. It shows the Prix de Diane form is good. For me, our filly has progressed quite a lot since Chantilly. That was only her second race of the year and physically she looks much stronger now.

"Her next big target is the Prix Vermeille and then hopefully she will run in the Arc. That is what Sheikh Joaan bought her for, to run in the Arc.

"I haven't decided yet whether she will run at Deauville before the Vermeille. The Prix de la Nonette is a possibility, but we will see. If she doesn't run there, she will go straight from the Diane to the Vermeille.

"I am very pleased with the filly. The only question is will she stay the mile and a half? I think she will. She is a handy filly who switches off in her races.

"She could meet Chicquita again in the Vermeille. That will be fun."
