The Supreme Horse Racing Club is hoping for a pre-Cheltenham Festival boost with Uranna considered a major contender for the 8/1 Willie Mullins To Train A Cheltenham Winner At Coral.ie EBF Mares Novice Chase at Limerick on Sunday.

The successful ownership syndicate is set to be represented by four runners at Prestbury Park next week, with Very Much So heading for the Champion Bumper, Myska in line for the inaugural mares' novices' hurdle and multiple options being considered for Open Eagle and Avant Tout.

Uranna, a previous winner over hurdles at Limerick and a Listed scorer at Sandown last year, got off the mark over fences in good style at Thurles last month.

The Mullins-trained mare will be partnered by Paul Townend when she faces five rivals at Grade Two level this weekend.

Steve Massey, who manages the Supreme Horseracing Club, said: "She's in good order and we're looking forward to what is a big week.

"It's nice to have a runner on Sunday to take the mind off Cheltenham for a few hours and hopefully she'll run a good race.

"We were delighted with her at Thurles last time. She could probably have done with another week between runs, but this is a suitable race for her and we'll let her take her chance.

"It's a Grade Two, so it's not going to be easy. If she can pick up some black type we'll be really pleased."

Uranna's biggest threat appears to be Noel Meade's Bonny Kate.

The six-year-old has won her last two starts over fences and impressed in a Punchestown handicap in late January.

"Bonny Kate is the one to beat," said Massey.

"She's a very good mare and she's rated 4lb higher than Uranna, so we need to bridge that gap."

Annamatopoeia, Corporate Box, Emcon and Give Her Bach complete the field.
