The 106-rated Valiant Force got a lovely tow into the Celebrate Your Special Occasion Race at Dundalk before keeping on best to score for Adrian Murray.

He was the only one of the five runners with a three-figure rating and Wayne Lordan was content to race him in second behind Eclairage (four from four over five furlongs in Dundalk) who likes to blaze a trail.

The 15/8 favourite was ridden to the front over a furlong out and was kept up to his work to account for Songhai (3/1) by a length and a-quarter for owners AMO Racing Limited and Giselle De Aguiar.

Lordan said: "In fairness to him, he has been running very consistent all year.

"He jumped good and that filly (Eclairage) shows her pace early.

"I got a good lead into it - from two (furlongs) down, I was going forward nice and I felt I got out through the line well.

"He has plenty of class and he enjoys it up here.

"That was nice for him to jump and get his head in front.

"He's not tied to five (furlongs), he can go six furlongs if he wants."
