Value At Risk excites new team Former Philip Fenton inmate Value At Risk will aim to confirm the huge impression he created at Newbury when he runs at Cheltenham next month. The Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle on January 24th has been pinpointed by trainer Dan Skelton as the next port of call. Third in the Punchestown Champion Bumper when trained by Fenton, Value At Risk caused quite a stir last Wednesday when he emerged a 22-length winner on his hurdling debut. "There's a Grade Two over two and a half miles for him at Cheltenham on Trials Day," said Skelton. "He was frighteningly good at Newbury and it's my job to look after him. "What we do after Cheltenham in January has yet to be decided. He's going chasing next year and that was always going to be his job. "The Festival is not the be-all and end-all this season as we want to be going there with him as a novice chaser. "But, saying that, it's unlikely to slip under our radar, either."
