Vanishing Causeway Improvement Enquiry The Stewards enquired from Mr. D. Marnane, trainer of the winner of race seven on Wednesday, Vanishing Causeway, concerning the apparent improvement in form compared to his last run on the flat at Roscommon on 19th May where he finished 12th of 14, beaten 19 lenghts. Mr. Marnane reported that this is an animal who appreciates change in his training and racing. His three previous runs have been over hurdles, the first of which he won and the last he disappointed. Today's switch back to the flat and the application of blinkers appears to have revitalised him and brought about the improved performance. Having considered the report, the Stewards took no further action.
