Vassaria ready for Dundalk on Friday Vassaria will attempt to make it second-time lucky for owner Andrew Tinkler as she lines up at Dundalk on Friday. The three-year-old is part of a small team Tinkler has set up in Ireland, with Tommy Carmody doing the training from jockey Johnny Murtagh's Pollardstown yard. Vassaria, who was handled by Michael Dods last term, finished fourth on her Irish bow for the new venture and will try to improve on that in Friday's Chefs Kitchen Race. Miss Mediator made a winning start for the team when triumphing at Ireland's only all-weather venue last month and is also due to return to action in the immediate future. "It's going really well over there and it's a really fun project," said Tinkler's racing manager Tim Jones. "Andrew managed to make it over for Miss Mediator's run and it was fantastic that his first Irish-trained runner was a winner. "We have Vassaria scheduled to run at Dundalk on Friday and although Miss Mediator is also entered, she is probably going to wait and go back there on March 16. "We've got a couple more scheduled to run at Dundalk on March 23." Ex-Sir Michael Stoute inmate Hartside, former Jonjo O'Neill charge Royal Diamond, recent Dundalk second Rasputin and 100,000 guineas purchase Ursa Major make up the Tinkler Irish team, and Jones is hoping they can make their mark when the turf season begins later this month. "They're all in good order and it's really just one step at a time. The plan would be to keep going on to the turf and hopefully one of them will turn out to be smart," he added.
