Vegas Galway bound Harry Kelly's Lagostovegas will bypass Punchestown in preference to the Galway Festival. The Footstepsinthesand filly has competed against some of the best in the juvenile hurdling division but is likely to return to the Flat for her next assignment. "The ground the last day at Limerick was very, very deep and she just didn't enjoy it," said Kelly, "She got a hard enough race that day so we decided to give her a break and she's one that we think might be for Galway. "She'd need rain around that time, and that being the case the amateur riders' handicap on the opening evening would be in our minds. We'd need to get her up a little bit in the weights first. "She doesn't handle quick ground but she'll go on nice, safe ground. "The owner (John Donohue) is a keen Galway man, so he'd like her to go to Ballybrit. Two miles on the Flat won't be a problem for her. If we can get her up a little bit in the ratings she'll hopefully get in on a nice weight. "It was nice to see the one that was second at Limerick (Slowmotion) go on to win at Fairyhouse. "She looks very good, to be fair, but we think a hell of a lot of our own mare too. "She's had a few little setbacks along the way, but she's no bad sort on her day and she can only improve with age. "She's such a big type that she just takes a bit of minding."
