Verawal made quite an impression on his jumping bow and tries to build on that in the Kerry Group 3-Y-O Hurdle at Listowel on Sunday.

Unplaced in three juvenile starts for Mick Halford, he was snapped up by Willie Mullins and owners Supreme Horse Racing Club for just 5,500 guineas last autumn and was kept in reserve until reappearing over hurdles at Down Royal last month.

He impressed in winning by 12 lengths and certainly appears to be the leading light among the five runners for this two-mile heat.

Celtic Artisan was third behind Verawal at Down Royal and tries his luck again while Batchelors Walk, Credulous and Glance Of Doon make up the field.

Mullins fields Shamar in the Kerrymaid Hurdle after being kept busy on the Flat through the summer.

Theatre Mill from the Paul Nolan stable looks a leading rival, while The Amarillo Kid, Queen Alphabet and The Plan Man also line up.

Lord Ben tops the field for the Kerry Group Handicap Chase as he returns to action following his creditable fifth in the Galway Plate.

Arthur Moore's Back Off Mate was a winner at Ballinrobe on his most recent run, while False Economy turned in a decent effort over hurdles last month.

Bosman Rule is Mullins' runner in the opening Charleville Cheese Maiden Hurdle, while Hell Cat Maggie and Pennys Tune are both shooting for hat-tricks in the Low Low European Breeders Fund Mares Handicap Hurdle.
