Veteran Riggs (14/1) registered consecutive wins today, landing Wexford’s SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap Chase for trainer Peter Cluskey and jockey Liam McKenna.

Galway Hurdle-winner McKenna steered the ten-year-old to score at 28/1 at Downpatrick just eight days ago and today the pair defeated runner-up Western Model by 6.5 lengths.

Balbriggan, Co Dublin-based Cluskey commented "he has had a few problems. It took us a while to find them but we found them eventually, and he seems a different horse. He is a little bit of a monkey in his own way but has just turned a corner.

"He is a stayer and he doesn't have much of a turn of foot. We have no immediate plan, but if he had run well today, we might look at the Connacht National or maybe the Midlands National."
