Veteran Seebald Retired Seebald, winner of 11 races and over £350,000 in prize money for the Martin Pipe yard, has been retired.Formerly a very smart novice chaser, he was second to Moscow Flyer in the 2002 Arkle and has been campaigned at the top level ever since.Owned in partnership by footballers Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman, he also finished a short-head second to the great Best Mate in the Haldon Gold Cup in 2004.“Seebald has been retired,” current trainer David Pipe told At The Races.“He has been a great servant over the years.
