Vics Canvas ready to write his story Dermot McLoughlin reports Vics Canvas to be fit and well ahead of his tilt at Saturday's Gold Cup at Sandown. The veteran was one of the first-fence casualties in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse earlier this month. McLoughlin is looking forward to saddling his Cork National hero and has secured the services of Ruby Walsh. "He seems in good form, he travelled over well and we're just hoping for the best," said the Co Meath handler. "He was unlucky to come down at the first at Fairyhouse and seems none the worse. "Having Ruby Walsh on board is a big help, so we'll see what happens. "He's been consistent all season so hopefully he'll go well."
