Voice Of Angels readily justified favouritism for Joseph O'Brien in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race over a mile in Navan.

The grey Dark Angel filly went off 5/6 as she was comfortably the highest rated on a mark of 95, received the fillies' allowance and Jake Coen claimed 7lb off her back.

She made good headway from the rear of this four-runner field to pick up the lead a quarter of a mile out and powered home in the final furlong to score by three and a quarter lengths. Eclat De Lumiere could make no impression in second at 9/2.

Assistant trainer Brendan Powell said: "It's nice to get her head in front. She stays that mile well and will probably end up getting further, she's nice and relaxed.

"The idea was to ride her handy but he said she was a bit slow away, so he left her but she was the best in the race. She has won nicely and it will get a bit of confidence into her.

"She has a great pedigree, so hopefully we will now look for a bit of black type - a fillies' Group 3 or a Listed race and see what happens."
