Vow will prepare for a trip to Ireland with a run in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday following her creditable effort in the Investec Oaks.

The daughter of Motivator was only beaten a length and three-quarters in fourth place behind Was on what was her third career start after wins at Newbury and in the Lingfield Oaks Trial.

Connections of the William Haggas-trained filly are using the mile-and-a-half Group Two as a stepping stone to the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh on July 22nd.

"Vow runs next week and she's working very well, The plan is to go on to Ireland after the Ribblesdale," said Harry Herbert, racing manager to owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing.
