Vukovar - a Tingle Creek contender Harry Fry has confirmed that the well-backed Vukovar will take his chance in Saturday's 888sport Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown rather than the Peterborough Chase 24 hours later at Huntingdon. The highly-regarded French import has not been seen since dropping away over two and a half miles in the JLT Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. The five-year-old will now revert to two miles to take on the speed merchants but with no Sprinter Sacre or Sire De Grugy lining up, there is a gap for a new star in the division. "The plan is he'll go to Sandown," said Fry. "We think it's the right race to start him off in, the ground should be fine for him, we have no worries on that score. "Sandown is a good, stiff test and we're looking forward to it. You would think it should suit him. "Watching the Cheltenham race back he travelled well for a long way and then appeared not to get home, but he was hampered early on. "With the big two not being there it seems plenty have had the same idea and it looks like being a big field."
