WEATHER HITS MUSSELBURGH Frost has put paid to today`s jumps meeting at Musselburgh. The fixture was called off this morning after an inspection found a part of the track was unraceable.'There is one area at the entrance to the back straight which is still frozen and we can`t avoid that area,' said raceday clerk of the course Anthea Morshead.'The ground temperature is still 0C and the air temperature is only up to +5C. The frost isn`t coming out quickly enough.''It`s terribly disappointing. If the forecast had been right and we had got +4C or +5C last night, rising to +7C or +10C today we would have had a chance.'But the temperature stayed low last night - though it didn`t get below zero it was cold enough to stop the frost coming out of the ground.' - PA
