Wachman satisfied with Curvy's Oaks display David Wachman believes Curvy lost nothing in defeat when finishing third behind Covert Love in Saturday's Darley Irish Oaks. The Coolmore-owned filly has made great strides this season, progressing from winning a handicap off a mark of 72 in April to success in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot. Sent off favourite for the Group One at the Curragh, she was beaten two lengths by Hugo Palmer's lightly-raced winner and Jessica Harrington's Jack Naylor. "She ran well - no excuses," said Wachman. "She ran a nice race and is Group One placed now. "We'll try and win one somewhere with her now."
