Kevin Healy partnered the first double of his career when gambled-on Walk In The Clouds who picked up the lead at the third flight and made the rest in the Lily & Wild Restaurant Mares Handicap Hurdle at Naas.

She was available at as big as 66/1 this morning and opened on course at 33s before being backed down to 12/1 on the off.

The Walk In The Park mare sported first-time cheekpieces and jumped from flight to flight in this extended two-miles-six-furlongs assignment.

She held a nice cushion racing to the last, but was far from fluent there. The closest pursuer, Annie Button (28/1 - 16/1), attempted to make a race of it on the run-in and as the leader idled close home, the lead was whittled down to three-parts of a length. Connemara Shore was nine lengths adrift in third at 4/1 and she was nine lengths ion front of Mini Getaway (15/2).

Healy took the preceding race with another front-running effort on Rocky's Howya (4/6f) in the Claiming Hurdle.

Cian Collins said: “It was great to get that. I think the ride won the race to be honest.

“She’s been a bit disappointing, but I think the cheekpieces maybe got her going.

“She was having a good look around and had a look at a wing or two. It’s great to get a win out of her.

“That’s her grade and it’s job done today, anything else is a bonus now after that.

“She was probably idling a bit in front and having a good look around. Kevin felt she wasn’t doing a tap in front.”
