The Ted Walsh trained Colbert Station opened up his account over hurdles after he landed the www.punchestown,com Handicap Hurdle.
Ruby Walsh produced the 3/1 favourite ( backed from 7/1 in the morning) to lead entering the straight and the pair kept on gamely for a five and a half length win.
Winning trainer Walsh said afterwards: “That was not a very competitive handicap and we’ll take it as it comes.”
“It’s not very often you get an easy handicap on a Sunday at Punchestown and I’m delighted he won.”
