Wannabe primed for Park Express return Fozzy Stack is confident Wannabe Better will give a good account of herself in the Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade struck gold on three occasions during a productive 2013 campaign, signing off for the year with an impressive display in the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas in October. Stack, son and assistant to his father Tommy, does not expect the four-year-old to lack for fitness as she makes her return over a mile at Group Three level. He said: "She's the highest-rated animal in the race, so you'd have to think she has a leading chance. This race has been the plan for a while, so she should be ready enough. The ground isn't going to be very nice, but she seems to handle it all right, so we'd be hoping for a big run." Having clinched last year's Group Three Blue Wind Stakes at Naas, the Joseph Murphy-trained Euphrasia must concede weight to each of her 11 rivals. However, of more concern to the Fethard-based trainer is the fact his stable star is coming back in distance, having bolted up on her final start last year over a mile and a quarter at Leopardstown. Murphy said: "She's done well during the winter and we're looking forward to starting her back. The trip on Sunday would be against her, she'd definitely prefer a bit further, but we have to start her off somewhere and there aren't that many places she can go. "She has to give weight away, but we don't mind that - the trip is the main issue. It will be good to get her started, but I do think she'll come on quite a bit for the run." The only British-trained runner in the line-up is Karl Burke's Odeliz, who won a Listed race at Longchamp last year and was last seen finishing fourth in a Toulouse Group Three. Burke said: "She's a very progressive filly and we're quite hopeful she'll run a big race. We think we've got her fairly fit and while ground on the slow side of good would probably be ideal for her, she handled soft and heavy conditions in France last year so we're not too worried. "She's won a Listed race and was probably a bit unlucky in the Group Three as they went no gallop and it didn't suit. She's a filly who isn't short of pace, so coming back to a mile shouldn't inconvenience her. Hopefully she can go and pick up some more black type. We're certainly not going there for the day out." The powerhouse stables of Aidan O'Brien and Dermot Weld are represented by Dance With Another and Vote Often respectively. Willie McCreery saddles Asgardella and Indigo Lady, while Jim Bolger's Morga also features in a quality field.
