Warrior all set for American battle Clondaw Warrior will bid to land another big pot in the USA this evening, as he lines-up in the Grade 3 American St Leger at Arlington. The Willie Mullins trained nine-year-old won the valuable Guinness Handicap at the Galway Festival last year, and followed-up at this year's meeting by scooping the Galway Hurdle. The son of Overbury also has another nine wins to his name, with the November Handicap at Leopardstown in 2014, and the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting last year, among his most notable triumphs. He faces ten rivals at Arlington and Patrick Mullins reported at Tramore yesterday the Act D Wagg Syndicate owned gelding has settled in well. "Virginie Bascop went over with him, she looks after him. He settled in well, he has done a lot of travelling, he has been to France and to England before", Mullins said. "Dad and David Casey went over this morning (Friday), we are very happy with him and the ground should suit. "Seamie Heffernan rides and he knows the track. It is a little quicker than ideal but we decided it was worth taking a punt."
