The Gilna’s Cottage Inn Maiden saw an exciting finish with the Sheena Collins trained Watch This getting up in the closing stages tunder Pat Shanahan to deny The Mouse Carroll by a neck.
Winning trainer Collins said afterwards: “He has taken his time but he’s a lovely big horse and he jumps well. We will either go for another handicap or go hurdling with him.”
“He absolutely loved the conditions and it’s great to have a winner around here, I think it’s the only place in the world where they race on the beach.”
