Watering begins at Leopardstown Leopardstown which stages the opening day of Irish Champions Weekend this Saturday has begun watering the course. The going at Leopardstown is Good to Firm on the outer track where the last four races will be run including the two Group 1 races. The inner track will be used for the first four races and the going on that course is currently Good to Firm with Firm patches between the 10F and 7F posts. 6mm of water will be applied to the Firm section of the inner track today with selective watering as required during the remainder of the week. The Curragh which stages day-2 of Champions weekend on Sunday reports the going to be Good on the sprint course and Good to Firm on the round course.
