The ground at Galway is Good (on National Hunt courses) and Good to Yielding (on Flat track) ahead of day two of the festival.

Watering commenced at 4.30am. There is a mainly dry forecast for the coming days.

The action commences at 5.10pm and the featured Colm Quinn BMW Mile Handicap is off at 6.40pm. Ado McGuinness is going for four in a row in this premier handicap and is due to run eight horses.

Michael O'Callaghan 's Curragh winner Fastnet Crown currently disputes favouritism with Mosala who was third in this race last year, and McGuinness' Pierre Lapin who has been the subject of early support.
