Weather watch for both Gowran and Leopardstown The Turf Club has announced that there is to be a 7.30 am course inspection at Gowran Park ahead of the re-scheduled fixture tomorrow Saturday, 22nd January due to the threat of overnight frost and fog. The ground at Gowran Park, which features The Connolly's Red Mill Thyestes Handicap Chase, is currently heavy but frost remains in places. Meanwhile, the situation continues to be monitored at Leopardstown ahead of the scheduled fixture on Sunday, 23rd January. The ground at Leopardstown is currently soft with frost in places. The forecast is for a dry weekend with less severe frosts tonight and Sarturday night.
