Weekend Lucky 15: Niall Tierney with four selections in Ireland It looks to be another competitive weekend of racing in Ireland, with four different meetings across Saturday and Sunday. Here is a selection from each card over the two days that can be put into a Lucky 15 over the weekend. Saturday — Dundalk 16:35 — Star Harbour A €50,000 Premier Handicap takes place in Dundalk this Saturday and it's a competitive race with some nice progressive types involved, but I'm going to take a chance with the eight-year-old Star Harbour. He has a fondness for this track and always seems to run well regardless of the grade or opposition. Stepping back in trip may also be of benefit, as I'm not exactly convinced the mile and a half is his favourite anymore. He was third in this contest last year off a mark of 96 and he runs off a mark of 90 now, with jockey Declan McDonagh on his back. From stall three, he can make plenty of use of his confirmed stamina to have a major say in the race. Saturday — Tramore 17:55 — Maxminelli The son of Circus Maximus has been in my tracker since finishing sixth in a maiden in Gowran Park which featured the likes of Wyman, Take Charge Star, Krasimir and Charles Fort, and I still cannot believe he has not gotten off the mark. This looks like an ideal opportunity for Maxminelli to finally break his duck, and for local trainer Henry de Bromhead, who enjoys having winners at the Tramore Festival, you can guarantee this horse will be in tip-top shape to do so. He is well above a mark of 70 and I look forward to seeing this horse progress through the ranks and show progress as he looks to climb through the grades. Sunday — Tramore 14:20 — Ina Mina I was extremely impressed with Ina Mina when winning on the 3rd of August in Cork Racecourse. I thought it was a very good performance. The daughter of Ulysses bucked out and made all and it was a very professional performance. Straight away afterwards, I just thought of where this horse will end up next, because I feel that she definitely has the quality and scope to progress even more through the grades. Although she's been slapped with a 13-pound penalty, that may not be enough to see her stopped. I feel she is the type of horse that can rack up a few wins in a row. With a sharp track like Tramore suiting front-runners, I feel this is one that could be an opportunity for her to keep going and progressing. For me, I think she'll take all the beating. Sunday — Curragh 15:55 — Thyer Thyer ran a superb race at the Galway Festival. It looked like jockey Leigh Roche had timed it perfectly and set his fractions right, but unfortunately he was gunned down late on. It was a performance with plenty of promise and I feel a mile and a quarter at the Curragh will suit this horse perfectly. He has only been raised two pounds for this contest and, again, will have a huge chance.
