Conditional jockey Aidan Kelly registered consecutive weekend winners today, landing Fairyhouse's Peter Nolan Equine (Mares) Maiden Hurdle on the Jarlath Fahey-trained Whatcouldhavebeen (7/2).

Successful on the J.P. McManus-owned Cadatharla at Naas last Sunday, Kelly today produced Whatcouldhavebeen with a well-timed challenge, to eventually beat runner-up Feddans by a length and a half.

Fahey reported “it was a brilliant ride from Aidan, he did exactly what we said, came at them late and she stayed going well.

“She's improving with every run, we'll see how she comes out of it and might think about coming back for the Solerina (Hurdle) in a few weeks time - she's probably not good enough but we might chance our arm for black-type.”
