Weld ponders Celebration for Foxtrot Dermot Weld is thinking of a crack at the Celebration Stakes at the Curragh with Foxtrot Charlie. Owned and bred by American operation Calumet Farms, the son of English Channel was third to Beacon Rock in the Gallinule Stakes having won his only outing at two. Foxtrot Charlie won the Listed Glencairn Stakes on Thursday as he had little trouble in holding off last year's winner Tennessee Wildcat. "That was a pleasing performance, and is my first Stakes winner for Calumet," said Weld. "He's a nice horse and will probably run back in the Celebration Stakes over a mile at the Curragh on Derby day. "He has a good attitude and is inexperienced as it was only his third run. He ran a good race in the Gallinule, and we probably took a bit of a chance dropping back to a mile although he was showing plenty of pace."
