Weld ponders dual Belmont raid Dermot Weld could run Zhukova and The Grey Gatsby in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic at Belmont Park on Saturday evening. The former won the Man o'War Stakes at the track by six lengths and was taken out of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at the recent forfeit stage. Zhukova is now in consideration to head Stateside for the valuable Belmont race, in which she could be joined in the final line-up by 2014 Irish Champion Stakes hero The Grey Gatsby. Weld told the Irish Times: "She's in the Turf Classic, but she's in the Flower Bowl Invitational (October 8), too. "We will see what the weather does. She would like a little ease. "But if she runs in the Turf Classic Pat Smullen will ride, and Johnny Velazquez will ride The Grey Gatsby."
