Weld watching weather for Leger hopes Dermot Weld is hoping for change in the weather ahead of the Palmerstown House Irish Leger where he could saddle two live contenders in Forgotten Rules and Pale Mimosa. Forgotten Rules is set to miss the Curragh classic on September 14th if the ground is quick while Pale Mimosa would also be a doubt having been taken out in the past due to unsuitably fast conditions. Forgotten Rules put himself in the picture as a dark horse for the Irish Leger after scintillating wins on both his starts at Punchestown and Galway. Pale Mimosa confirmed herself as a top-class stayer at York last month when defeating Estimate in the Lonsdale Cup. "Forgotten Rules won't run unless there is a change in the weather while we'll also see what the man above does for Pale Mimosa as well," stated Weld tonight at Gowran Park.
