Weld weighing up Curragh options for Profound Ground conditions are likely to dictate which race Dermot Weld's Profound Beauty lines up in at next Sunday's high-profile meeting at the Curragh. The six-year-old beat Age Of Aquarius in the Saval Beg Stakes at the Curragh last month and the form was given a boost when that rival finished second to Profound Beauty's stablemate Rite Of Passage in the Gold Cup. Weld is considering the Group One Audi Pretty Polly Stakes and the At The Races Curragh Cup for his mare this coming weekend, ahead of a possible second tilt at the Melbourne Cup, in which she finished fifth in 2008. "Profound Beauty will run at the Curragh this weekend in either the Pretty Polly over 10 furlongs or in the Curragh Cup over a mile and six that she won last year," Weld told At The Races. "It all depends on the ground. At the moment it's firm so we'll see what happens later in the week. "We'll take each race as it comes and look at the Yorkshire Oaks, but she and Rite Of Passage will be entered for the Melbourne Cup and we'll see what weight they get."
