Well Dressed puts up a sharp display at Fairyhouse Well Dressed appreciated a drop back in trip when opening her account in no uncertain fashion in the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse. Trained by Eddie and Patrick Harty for race sponsor JP McManus, the 6/1 shot showed promise in maidens last term but was bouncing back to form here after a couple of below par efforts in handicaps this season. The Westerner mare jumped to the front three out and after drawing clear between the final two hurdles, kept on strongly on the run-in for Cian Cullinan to beat 9/4 favourite Arch Enemy by a convincing eight and a half lengths. The front-running Duke Of Leggagh was a further five and a half lengths away in third. Eddie Harty said, "“That was nice. Two miles suited. “We were a bit disappointed with her in Navan, she came there with a great chance but she faded. She didn’t get home. “She had two good runs over two last year so we said we’d drop her back to two. “It looked a weak-ish race. It was nice to give Cian a winner, he rides out for us. He rode her nicely, he has a nice pair of hands. “She’ll probably go up more than she deserves and we’ll just look for something else. She’s not in next week unfortunately. Maybe that’s just as well because if you’re in you’ll go.” Quotes by Gary Carson
