After being unseated from the wayward Lion In His Heart (saddle slipped) in the previous race, Rachael Blackmore was back at the number one after coming home in front on Peace News in the Double Winnings BoyleSports Novice Chase at Wexford.
Gigginstown House Stud and Henry de Bromhead have Lion In His Heart, who'd also misbehaved and got rid of Blackmore at Listowel on Monday.
It was well deserved then when last season's champion conditional donned the owner's maroon and white to get de Bromhead's Peace News up by half a length from Lean And Keen
"I'm delighted. He got a savage ride from Rachael. She won the race for us, she was brilliant on him and got the best out of him," said de Bromhead.
"He jumps well, he can just be a bit careful but he jumped well all in all.
"I'll probably look for another novice for him. I think there is a winners of two at Kilbeggan on June 25th, otherwise there is a the two mile six at Killarney. We'll see, but it was nice to win that."
The Stewards interviewed Rachael Blackmore, rider of Peace News (GER), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4, in that she had failed to give her mount time to respond to the whip.
Having taken her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Rachael Blackmore for 2 racedays.
