West Of Eden another juvenile winner for Ballydoyle The Aidan O’Brien-trained West Of Eden opened his account at the third attempt when making all in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Down Royal. Wayne Lordan’s mount came under pressure over a furlong out, but the 15/8 favourite kept on well to score by a length and a half. Seaxburh finished best of his rivals into second with Belicoso unable to find any extra a further half a length away in third. Stable representative Chris Armstrong said, “It was nice. Obviously, it was a restricted race (horses that have run at least twice and have a rating of 75 or less), and it fitted his profile. "He's a horse that is a work in progress and hopefully he will keep developing. We'll see what the handicapper does. He might be one for the nursery in Galway. "He ran in two nice enough maidens, and it just didn't happen for him. This race suited his profile, and Wayne gave him a lovely ride from the front - he jumped well and set lovely fractions.
