Wednesday's meeting at Wetherby is subject to a precautionary inspection at 8am on raceday.

The going at the track is currently described as soft, heavy in places but officials are concerned by a cold overnight forecast.

"We would be able to race today, but the forecast suggests that we could get some snow flurries later and it seems sensible to have a check in the morning, just in case we get something more than that," said clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson.

"Temperatures are due to get down to -1C overnight so we might get a light frost, but as we're forecast 4C tomorrow I'm not too worried about that - it's more a question as to whether an unexpected load of snow turns up. But I think we're definitely odds-on to go ahead."

Thursday's meeting at Ludlow is now subject to an 8am inspection on Wednesday.

Officials had initially called an inspection for 12pm today but as the course is raceable at present, they will now look again in the morning.
