Wetherby inspection Officials at Wetherby will stage a 2pm inspection on Thursday ahead of their high-profile Boxing Day fixture. There is still snow lying on the West Yorkshire track and with temperatures set to remain low for the next 24 hours at least, clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson admits they need the forecast to change. "Over the past 12 hours I would say we have had around a 1% improvement," said Sanderson on Wednesday afternoon. "It only actually got down to 3C during the night but it was down to minus 3C at daybreak. "It's a nice, sunny day today but there isn't enough heat in it to be moving the snow and we are still totally unraceable. "The forecast for tonight is for minus 4C, with the possibility of snow showers and similar temperatures again for the following night. "We'll see how we're looking tomorrow and then decide what we're going to do. "If we're the same as we are today then I think we're going to struggle, but if there is some improvement, we can decide if we're going to inspect again on Saturday morning." Racing is also scheduled to take place at Wetherby on Sunday, but Sanderson said there will be no decision on that meeting until Saturday at the earliest.
