Whatsavailable made all the running and repelled every challenge to run out a game winner of the Mongey Communications Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

Darragh O'Keefe had the Mouse Morris trained five-year-old in front from the drop of the flag and the duo dug deep to cling on to victory.

One of the most experienced horses in the field with seven runs under his belt, he jumped well and had his rivals in trouble early in the straight. Harald Hardrad looked a danger as he stalked the leader but the Noel Meade trained runner came to grief at the second last when still in with every chance. Smooth Scotch was the last horse to throw down a challenge but his valiant effort just failed as the line came in time for the Morris trained gelding.

"He's never run a bad race, in fairness, and he'll make some chaser. He gave the last there about a foot; said Morris.

"He had a bit of experience and you can't beat that. I'd say he'll go chasing now next season."
