Flat jockey Willie Supple has retired from race riding after a career that spanned over 25 years.

The 43 year old, multiple Group 1 winning pilot, cited the lack of opportunities to ride at the highest level as the main reason for his retirement.

Supple's last winner came at Dundalk on October 7th of last year when he rode the Paul Deegan trained Caprella to victory.
